Its a easy two step process.
1. You can either change the look and feel of the Visual Studio environment by setting the theme.
path: Tools -> Extension manager
Select the Online Gallery and search for Visual Studio Color Theme.
Download it!
Once installed you should be able to see the 'Theme' option in you Visual Studio Menu. You can use this menu to set themes for your VS2010.

2. To change the background of your coding windows and the colors on actual code you will have to change the vssettings.
Here's a really cool website that has tons of vssettings (schemes) : http://studiostyl.es/
All you have to do is download the appropriate Visual Studio Scheme. There are schemes for 2003, 2005, 2008, 2010.
You can go to Tools->Import and Export Settings to open the wizard.
Note: You may have to close and reopen the visual studio to get these settings to actually work.
I have a 'gray' theme downloaded for the menus. And Im using 'Sons of Obsidian' color scheme vssetting from http://studiostyl.es/schemes/son-of-obsidian.
